A Shift in Our Focus
We would love to assist with all your travel needs, however our focus is on Luxury Travel, Pre-Packaged Tours, Luxury and River Cruising, All-Inclusive Vacation Packages, and Ocean Cruising. We no longer handle or respond to air only reservations or leisure trips abroad without a fixed package structure.
New Agency Policy Effective August 1, 2024:
Our Agency always took pride in not charging a fee for our service, believing that all should have access to a trusted travel advisor. Unfortunately, this means that we at times spent valuable time conducting research for new client prospects, who were not serious about working with a trusted travel advisor and only wanted research results. No one should be expected to work for free. You would not expect a lawyer to work four hours and give you advice for free - It is no different for a trusted travel advisor.
Starting August 1, 2024 our policy states:
*All new client prospects who have never booked with Wood Travel will be required to pay a $200 Good-Faith Fee (refunded when you leave on your trip, non-refundable if you choose not to book. We know it is scary to try a new business, so we will send you three courteous itineraries fee of charge to show you how we work and as a measure of our "Good Faith" in you.
*All existing clients will be required to pay a $100 good faith fee after 10 complimentary quotes have been sent. As above, this fee is refundable when you leave on your vacation but non-refundable if you choose not to book.
In this way, we have recovered partial losses for work performed on files where no booking was secured. More importantly having a fee in place will weed out those who are not serious about using our services, and only price-shopping. This allows us to focus on current clients who do value our services.

Fraud Awareness
Wood Travel recognizes that fraud is ever present in today's electronic age. We want to remind our clientele that we will never do the following:
*Ask for you to send payment in any way contrary to where we confirmed when your booking was created
*Advise of immediate payments being required in any way other than we have specified
*Correspond in any other manner than in person, via our main office email and telephone line.
*Threaten, harass, abuse, coerce, intimidate, pressure, influence, oppress any of our clientele or client prospects.
Likewise, we protect our company from fraud by:
*Never allowing new clients to book anything 'last-minute' with us (less than 90 days).
*Insisting that all clients complete and forward the appropriate paperwork necessary for your booking, such as a credit card authorization and required ID
*Maintaining a secure premise in accordance with local policy, to protect sensitive information. All electronic information is stored and destroyed after use, unless otherwise advised.
*Use of Anti-Virus software, Virtual Private Networks, Two Factor Authentication when available
*Limiting our website access to local and known members. Most international requests for membership are denied unless clients are known to the agency.
