Growing up in Southern Alberta, Sandra’s passion for travel began in her childhood, with cherished family memories of trips to Europe, Disneyland, and Mexico. She understands the value of quality time spent with loved ones. Taking over Wood Travel in the summer of 2017 has been a dream come true, allowing Sandra to help create unforgettable travel experiences for families both near and far.
Before concentrating on the agency full-time, Sandra was a single parent juggling two full-time roles: running the travel agency and working as a 911 operator in a small southern Alberta community. She understands the importance of hard work, staying focused in high-pressure situations, and prioritizing what matters most. Sandra could not have achieved as much as she did without the encouragement and support of her children, parents, and close friends. Sandra is also a cancer survivor (10+ years!), having fought very hard for a treatment plan she was comfortable with and confident in.
Sandra recognizes that the challenges she’s faced in life have shaped her into someone with quiet strength and unwavering determination. She lives with intention and has passed those same values on to her now-grown children. Beyond her professional life, Sandra recently earned her second university degree and cherishes time spent with her loved ones—including her partner Mark, her children, granddaughter, mother, and her two wonderful dogs. When she’s not fitting in a workout at the local gym, you might find her off-grid camping with Mark, their pups, and close friends. A passionate traveler, Sandra is always on the move, discovering hidden gems around the world—and she loves sharing them with all of you!
